Cargo Theft Prevention
We have implemented numerous procedures to prevent cargo thefts, including: not accepting tendered loads until actual pick-up; requiring all loaded trailers in transit be parked at designated locations; installing anti-theft devices on all tractors; and hiring private security companies at our outlying terminals.
Mobile Communication Warnings
All of our tractors are equipped with satellite communication systems that allow us to communicate critical information to our drivers, including weather warnings, cargo theft warnings, and other safety related information.
Live Loaded Calls
Many of our loads are "live dispatched" to ensure that all customer and May Trucking Company freight requirements are properly followed by our drivers. Prior to departing from the shipper, drivers are required to contact their dispatcher, who walks the driver through a script designed to ensure compliance with all load requirements.
Cooperation With Customers
We regularly work with our customers to develop and improve our cargo protection procedures.
